Blending theory and hands-on flying, this full-time course is the first-step in your journey to becoming a commercial helicopter pilot. You'll learn to fly light piston helicopters in both normal and emergency conditions.
Our commercial helicopter pilot course enables you to reach toward certification as a commercial pilot through Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA)’s Part 61 Flight crew licensing regulations. Your theory study is combined with flying time at our real-world Jandakot airport campus.
Outside of class time, you will complete 119 additional hours of flying in a range of conditions, at various times of day. Be guided by our lecturers, as you develop the knowledge to navigate a wide range of air transport operations, including passenger, charter and cargo operations. You'll learn how to use your autonomy, judgement and defined responsibility for an extensive range of scenarios that you might face in the skies. This training will prepare you well for a diverse aviation career and increase your employability potential.
