Land a lead role in conservation
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to coordinate and supervise operations in your chosen field of Conservation and Ecosystem Management. As part of this course you will undertake three units that have been designed to meet the Department of Health requirements to gain a Pest Management Technician Licence to control weeds and other minor pests in lawns and gardens, landscaping, bushland or minesite rehabilitation. All of our classes have extensive resources and are run by highly experienced lecturers.

- Plan the implementation of revegetation works
- Conduct a site inspection for ecological restoration
- Develop procedures to minimise risks in the use of chemicals
- Define the pest problem
- Sample soils and interpret results
- Maintain Work Health and Safety processes
- Control weeds
- Transport, handle and store chemicals
- Prepare and apply chemicals to control weeds, pests and diseases

This course meets the requirements of a broad range of related industries such as Local Councils, conservation and ecosystem management, landscaping companies, State Government employment and parks and gardens. Job titles may include:
- Landcare Supervisor

- Lands, Parks and Wildlife Park Ranger
