Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security and AI)
This diploma equips graduates with practical skills across cyber security, systems administration, cloud virtualisation and applied AI. The program develops the capability to support secure, modern ICT environments while identifying and implementing AI-enabled improvements.
Graduates will be able to:
- Promote workplace cyber security awareness and best practice, and gather, analyse and interpret threat data.
- Develop, implement and evaluate an incident response plan, and undertake penetration testing for organisations.
- Design, build and test network servers, manage network security and implement virtual networks in cloud environments.
- Install, configure and manage enterprise virtual computing environments.
- Create and develop REST APIs to support application and systems integration.
- Clean and verify data and apply relevant mathematical techniques to solve technical problems.
- Identify opportunities to apply artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning to business and security tasks, automate work tasks using machine learning, and train and evaluate machine learning models.
- Match ICT needs with organisational strategy, apply IP, ethics and privacy requirements, facilitate teamwork, and manage client problems.
