Financial counsellors work alongside individuals, families and small businesses to manage their finances and understand their credit and debt issues as well as their legal and financial rights and obligations. It also provides a solid understanding of social justice and systemic issues that impact on people experiencing financial hardship.
At the end of this course, you will have gained the skills and knowledge to provide financial information, limited financial advice covered within the AFSL exemption and advocacy, as well as provide systemic advocacy within a social justice framework. You will also learn counselling skills to effectively communicate with clients.
To be able to operate in Australia as a financial counsellor, you must have this qualification.
